contract role, hybrid remote, 2x a week onsite, based in Dublin, city center.
This new role will primarily be to support users of a national custom-built student information system. The successful candidate will have excellent MS TSQL skills and be able to troubleshoot stored procedures and interrogate database tables and objects. They will also understand VB.NET and be able to step through code to understand and debug issues. We are looking for a confident technical support person who can liaise with business users to understand, prioritize, and resolve
issues on time.
IT Skills
• Strong skills & experience in custom application support.
• Strong experience and understanding of VB.NET (or equivalent languages)
• Ability to debug and document code.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server/TSQL essential.
• Strong experience and web development skills.
• Experience in developing software fixes for web Applications.
Work Experience
• Minimum of 5 years practical experience in a support role of custom web solutions.
• Web development experience using MS Dot Net Framework.
Education
• Degree Level or equivalent experience and/or other qualifications.
