Java Developer
Initially 6 months daily rate contract
Dublin City Center (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite)
We are seeking a skilled IT Software Developer to join our dynamic Digital & Technology team as a Daily Rate Contractor As a key player in our Digital Delivery team, you’ll be instrumental in driving the strategic ambitions. You will develop and deliver technical solutions within a customer-centric culture, enhancing the experience and performance of our digital properties.
Role responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of digital customer and advisor journeys on our digital properties.
- Contribute to strategic planning activities, including scoping and sizing.
- Perform critical analysis and peer code reviews.
- Represent the team in workshops to ensure optimal solutions.
- Mentor and train team members as needed.
- Collaborate with business partners and third-party vendors.
- Challenge team standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current with new skills and technologies.

Desired Knowledge / Experience / Skills
- BSc degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- 6+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on Java and Spring Framework.
- Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Proficiency in building SOAP and RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of UX principles and methodologies, including User-Cantered Design and Design Thinking.
