Our high-profile client based in Dublin is actively seeking an experienced Data Scientist with a strong academic background and stakeholder management.
Role responsibilities:
- Create and work with large digital datasets to extract value and insights
- Use statistical and data science techniques to explore data and identify patterns and trends
- Process, join and analyse data sources to create features which feed into analytical and machine learning pipelines
- Build predictive models and data science solutions
- Collaborate with various teams to understand their data needs and help them make informed decisions based on data insights
- Conduct deep dive analyses and make recommendations to help with business decision-making
- Create dashboards to visualise insights for stakeholders
- Research and implement new techniques in data science/web analytics to make analytical solutions more impactful
Experience required:
- Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science
- Solid understanding of statistics, machine learning and data science principles
- Experience in processing, analysing and extracting value from large datasets containing both structured and unstructured data
- Proven experience in Python and SQL
- Experience working with web analytics data (Adobe/Google Analytics) is desirable
- Familiarity with reporting and visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Cognos)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder & project management skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Attention to detail and collaborative mindset
