We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Analyst with a focus on Actuarial and Finance to join our dynamic team.
Need to have ‘profit’ experience / potential actuarial or finance background.
Experience in supporting the IRFS17 will be considered a plus(not a must)
Job Description:
As a Systems Analyst (Actuarial / Finance), you will be crucial in bridging the gap between our business and IT teams. You will be responsible for translating business needs into clear designs, producing high-quality builds, and ensuring seamless data integration. Your expertise will contribute to the successful delivery of end-to-end solutions, from analysis and design to testing and deployment. You will also provide global support during critical quarter-end reporting timelines, which will require working or being on call across North American and European time zones occasionally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into clear designs and produce high-quality builds and documentation.
- Articulate the functionality of systems to business and IT teams at various levels.
- Perform unit and functional testing of designs.
- Develop and maintain a good understanding of financial accounting and reporting practices.
- Understand data integration requirements and design for inbound/outbound integrations.
- Participate in the end-to-end solution delivery life cycle, including analysis, design, configuration/development build, testing, deployment, training, and data conversion.
- Scope, estimate, and manage work for large projects.
- Conduct complex analysis and troubleshooting.
- Develop effective working relationships with business stakeholders, consultants, and IS teams.
- Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems, determining root causes and possible solutions.
- Multi-task and manage time and resources efficiently and effectively.
- Work independently and provide global support during critical quarter-end reporting timelines, requiring collaboration across North American and European time zones.
Qualifications:
- Actuarial / Financial / Technology University Degree preferred or equivalent education and experience.
- Good understanding of financial accounting and reporting practices. An understanding of Insurance Actuarial processes is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to maintain and enhance collaboration across business and technology teams.
- Experience in large project scoping, estimating, and work management.
- Ability to lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems, involving the development of new approaches, tactics, and initiatives.
- Ability to multi-task and manage time and resources efficiently and effectively.
- Strong documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data integration requirements and design.
- Experience performing unit and functional testing of designs.
- Participation in end-to-end solution delivery life cycle.
- Experience in articulating functionality of systems to business and IT teams at various levels.
