Security Support Specialist(1-3 years exp) – Grade 8

Permanent and Contract(Both are available)

Location: Dublin City Centre(Hybrid working)

Role Purpose:


This role will have responsibility for the administration of security technologies and services, ensuring an appropriate level of security is in place and maintained.


Role Purpose is a very high level statement of what the role is expected to do


Key Accountabilities:


  1. Support and administration of security technologies and services that maintain the business applications and IT services.
  2. Management the incident queue for Security Engineering team
  3. Responds to incident and problem management efficiently and effectively documenting lessons learned and future prevention
  4. Carries out technology deployments, building and deploying new Security infrastructure
  5. Maintain and promote security policies, standards and awareness
  6. Any other duties as assigned by your manager


Only in exceptional circumstances should a role have more than 8 key accountabilities

Criteria For Role

1-3 years’ required working in IT

IT degree or equivalent

CISM, CISA or equivalent is desirable


Outline any qualifications and experience that are required for the role

Technical Competencies

  • IT technical skills
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure and security technologies – Proofpoint, Zscaler, IPS (Checkpoint & NSXT), WAF.

In general there will be a maximum of 3 technical competencies for each role not academic qualifications required
